COVID Protocols

WE’RE READY TO WELCOME YOU BACK SAFELY

Traction Conference is taking place at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. The venue is now open at full capacity and ready to welcome clients, guests and the community back for safe events and gatherings. We have worked hard to make sure our team is ready and our conference facilities are equipped so that you can feel confident when you enter the event.

ENHANCED CLEANING PROTOCOLS

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, they have made several enhancements to their cleaning practices throughout their property. These include:

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: The Marriott has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, especially in high-traffic areas like restrooms, elevators, entrances, front desks and escalators and provided more hand sanitizing stations.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff members will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities.

Fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face coverings or social distance in indoor or outdoor areas of the hotel, but if you are fully vaccinated and feel more comfortable wearing a face covering, please feel free to do so. We ask that all unvaccinated guests continue to wear face coverings and practice social distancing when they are in public spaces inside the hotel.

CANADIAN TRAVEL PROTOCOLS & RESTRICTIONS

Travelling within Canada?

Starting June 20, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. (EDT), vaccination will no longer be required to board a plane or train in Canada. You still must wear a mask throughout your journey. This applies only to travel within Canada and flights or trains leaving Canada. Full updates can be found here.

If you are entering Canada from another country, you must continue to follow all entry requirements such as vaccination and testing, including for cruise ships.

Travelling into Canada?

Canadian airports have temporarily suspended mandatory random arrival testing at all airports for all travellers who qualify as fully-vaccinated. There are no changes to mandatory random arrival testing at land borders or arrival testing for travellers who don’t qualify as fully vaccinated and are allowed entry into Canada. Full details about all you need to know about restrictions, policies and protocols can be found on the Government of Canada website.

The Government of Canada’s official source of travel information and advice, the Travel Advice and Advisories help you to make informed decisions and travel safely while you are outside Canada. Check the page for your destination often, because safety and security conditions may change. See Travel Advice and Advisories – FAQ for more information.
